Affiliate marketing can be a pain if you go down the wrong path. It took me about six months to find the right path to start making money. If only I had a mentor to show me the way it would be a lot easier. Well...I guess I can give you a few advice so you don't end up waisting too much time.

If you're not great at building websites using WYSIWYG programs such as dreamweaver, frontpage, etc. I suggest building a "niche blogs" using programs such as "wordpress", "joomla", "blogger", etc. Important: make sure the blog is specific and targeted to a specific audience. Start small than expand as you grow. Even if you are good at using WYSIWYG programs, I still recommend using blog programs because search engines loves blogs and it is a lot easier to maintain and update blogs. Plus it is a lot cheaper! If you need some tutorials on how to build blogs just check out my free blogging tutorials. The videos are very easy to follow and goes from beginners to advance users.

Security is also a big problem with online business. Make sure you do lots of research on this before hand. It will save you lots of headaches. For affiliate marketing make sure you know how to "cloak your affiliate ID" so people can't steal your commission. Just type "link cloaking" into your favorite search engine and there should be lots of advice on how to do this...Good Luck!
