Thumbs up Beginners Guide for Web Promotion - 11-10-2004

I found this awesome thread by Mack at WebmasterWorld.com. In a very simple manner, it explains why should people market their sites, how to optimize pages, how to use Press Releases and find good web directories to get links from.

If you are a newbie affiliate or having problems getting traffic to your site, I strongly suggest you read it. Is located here

It's true. I learned just about everything I know about affiliate marketing from forums, articles and even sales letters. There's a lot of great information out there if you're willing to take the time to find it.

fitzpatrick welcome to the Forum. Here are the answers to your questions based on the #s in your post.

1.
If your talking about Affiliate programs try these: cj.com,linkshare.com,shareasale.com,reporting.net, kolimbo.com,affiliatefuel.com

2. If you try google adsense I wouldn't stay away from the ones I selected and Independent programs. The more programs (the more links) the better.

3. Stay away from traffic Generators! all they will do is get you banned from search engines and or usless untargeted traffic.

4. Google will not optimize your site, you have to learn how to do that on your own.

5. the only sites I would trust is my own sites, and search engines and some link exchanges with similar Page rank on google toolbar.

Hello johnson48, welcome to RS Forums. You will get your site into search engines automatically by the search engine bots(scripts) if your page is well optimized for the search engines. Meaning you have keywords in your text and you have those same keywords in the title tag and links from other pages. For more information about Search Engine omptimization is below.
