Is anyone else getting weekly emails from
TextLinkAds saying their spider can’t detect your ads? I am, and every day I can confirm that I’ve had the same three ads running for quite some time on this site. Obviously their spider is screwy.
What annoys me about this is that:
- They deduct the value of the link from my earnings
- I have to waste my time replying that yep, it’s there
- You’d think after the first two times, maybe they’d flag my account as one that the spider is clearly too stupid to function with, and bother to send a human to look at it so I don’t have to do their work for them
- They don’t put your earnings back in until they’ve gone to the site and confirmed that yep, the links are there
So if, heaven forbid, I ever take a few days off from this stuff, the spider will undoubtedly visit and report the links as broken, and they won’t bother sending a human to check until I get back and email them? Wow, that’s helpful.
You know, maybe a time when Google is trying very hard to wreck the text link ads market is not the time to be irritating your publishers. Just a thought.
