Dumping Azoogle for CrispAds - 08-17-2007

I exchanged some emails with my Azoogle account manager. I got a good explanation as to why I was getting clicks on campaigns I hadn’t signde up for (international visitors get redirected to those when they’re in countries that can’t participate in the offer I signed up for). I also got some reasonable suggestions about how to earn money from Azoogle (as mentioned before, I’ve yet to earn a penny).
The suggestions boiled down to: write ads as blog posts, embed aff links within.
Which is fine - for other bloggers. It’s just not what I see working for me. If I ran a blog about freebies or cool offers, it could work. In fact, I do have one site where I might try it eventually - or maybe just stick footer ads at the bottom of posts or in the feed. But as banner ads? Not gonna work.
It’s probably a great system… for sites other than mine. So: I removed my Azoogle banner ads yesterday and today. Most of those sites are running CrispAds, so that meant the CrispAds got more rotations. And the CrispAds clicks are just steadily trickling in. I’ve never seen AdSense perform that well on these sites, either. I don’t know what it is, but I like it.
