I just wanted to clarify the process of obtaining a channel ID for tracking AdSense revenue here.

1) Log in to your AdSense account

2) Then, create a new channel and call it something for example: RevenueSourceChannel

3) By just creating a new channel AdSense doesn't show you the Channel ID which is numeric.

4) In order to see the channel ID create a temporary "AdSense for Content"

5) Then select RevenueSourceChannel , and add it as your channel

6) Then click continue to see the AdSense snippet, the number next to
google_ad_channel , is what you need.

7) Take this channel ID and add it below your AdSense publisher ID in your RevenueSource profile.

I hope this is the right procedure.

Yes, it should be a numerical value, 10 digits long. The channel needs to be created within your list of channels when you generate your AdSense code.
