I would like to make a small request.

Please make the "More" link that appears below the smiley bunch on the right is
green on a gray background which makes it almost impossible to see.

It would be nice if the text was darker.

Also, please consider adding more smilies (not an important or urgent request, but it would definitely make things more fun - can be a long term implementation)

The text area where you create new posts and reply to messages has been modified to more accurately display your posts. In addition, links will no longer be lost on the white on yellow background.

Light, you will also find that the Smilies <legend> now displays in a dark gray color, as does the More link.

I know that we have some better smilies that have yet to be uploaded. I'm hunting around the various computers here to see if we can find them and get them implemented for you.

Please let me know if there are any other lingering aesthetic issues.

We've uploaded some basic animated ones that we had sitting on one of our development machines.

We're seeking a graphics company to make us some customized ones that will add a bit more to our style.

My feedback:

IMO and are a bit distracting to the eye. They remind me of those blinking/flashing advertisement banners that make me run away as quickly as possible.

I think they're great on the smiley sheet but not on the right hand side panel of a message that's being edited/composed.

I would prefer _static_ (non-animated) smilies on the right panel. But then it's just me, perhaps others like the mildly animated ones.

Some feedback on the nitty gritty :

On the smiley sheet the ones under the Wacky label look good on a black/dark background when viewed on the *smiley sheet*

But some of the others like Generic, Stars and Award didn't look good on the dark background on the smiley sheet because they have a white border which makes them look blured on the smiley sheet, but they do look good when pasted here, because the message background is lighter.

I would recommend that the smileys be tested both on a white and dark background so that they don't have those borders which make them look blured on certain backgrounds.

I have one of our graphics guys looking at the matting for the files to see if we can't come up with edges that are less pixelated.

I agree about the animation distraction and have had them modify the smiley display order to push those animated ones further down.

I suppose we were asking for that... *chuckle* I had my concerns about a few of those, but I got strong-armed by the RS staffers. My weakness is your empowerment. lol

EMPOWERMENT

I noticed the new set of _static_ smilies on the right panel (compose mode).

These new smilies are much better than the first and second set.

Also noticed the more visible "Smilies" and "More".

I hope the Smiley selector page is cached -
(saves you bandwidth and makes it faster for us to access them)

I wish there was a printer friendly smiley sheet, or something else that made it quicker to reference them.
