Making money online is an easy process but you need to know a few simple steps to making money. The way to lose money is to lose your reputability by running around promoting paypal scams, zango, etc. because this does nothing but anger everyone around you.

Step 0. **Do not try and go out and make money without actually reading up and doing research, I put over 2000 hours of research into affiliate marketing before making my first website and it allowed me to make money at a much faster rate than if I had started with no knowledge, if you aren't make at least 10k a month through affiliate marketing pick up a couple of affiliate marketing guides from the guru's, they go for like $30 since they sell so many.


Step 1. Find a niche.
Step 2. Make a product or sign up to sell somebody else's
Step 3. Create a website or free blog/squidoo lens
Step 4. Market your product by building backlinks for the keywords you are looking for
Step 5. Find ways to better convert visitors until you hit the 5% butter zone that less than .01% of affiliate marketers manage to find
Step 6. Rinse and repeat, if you are successful with one product expand to different products in the niche, if you have used up a niche start marketing a new niche, if you are done with niche's start marketing yourself (IE: Shoemoney).

Yes, well put. But while you are waiting for the inspiration to find the "niche" idea, do the following:

Step 1: Sign up for the affiliate programs listed at Affiliate Programs

Step 2: Get their data feed and fill your sites with content.

Step 3: Put all the Google, Yahoo, MSN ads whereever you can.

Step 4: Advertise above websites through automated reciprocal linking, blogging and spamming like i do now.

Upto here, this exercise should give you enough experience with all the tools, and web development knowledge you need. This exercise might actually be the seed of the niche idea you have been looking for.

Step 5: Use this knowledge you have gained in your day job and pay the bills.

Step 6: Continue to wait for the inspiration or if you got it, start working on it now.

that seems like pretty sound advice everyone! The hardest part i've found is driving traffic to a site though and im still struggling with that aspect of affilaite marketing (online). I guess its one of those things you have to take a long term view on.

I think the biggest key is to treat it like a real business. Like you would treat a business in the real world. If you want to make money you can't treat it like a game.

I completely agree with you, if you do invest the time and Focus on doing things one step at the time it can very well become a serious business. I'm working at home now on marketing whenever I can (I have a second job too!). And I am putting in a lot of time into getting it all rolling. I cant wait till the day I say "CIAO" to my dayjob and can just work at home. Hard work definitely pays off in the long run;)

My regards to the members, all of us now that to make a site popular we need to have good content in them. But, there are many techniques that can be employed to get the sites up and running. SEO techniques play an important role in getting the job done.

Ive been running my own buisness online from home for about 4 years using various affilite programs and i find it best to get smaller payouts in higher volumes rather than high payouts in small volumes. This can be shown by people ordering 100 products per week from your affiliate link at 10% profit rather than 20 products at 30%. I am currently on the affiliate pharmacy side at the moment and making a killing with refills.
