I was just wanting to get some of everyones experience with paypal. I have heard mix feelings about them from some people. Although I have used them for several years now all the way back to 2001, and I have never had any problems with them, in fact I am using them now because of their low processing rates for my own personal business. But, I was just wanting to hear some of everyone else thoughts.

I've only ever once had a problem with them, and that was someone on eBay being a tool with a payment I'd sent, and not sending me the item.

I use PayPal for eBay (natch) and for a few websites I run. In terms of being a merchant with them, I've never had an issue.
Then again, I'm from Australia, and they have to adhere to Australian banking regulations here.

I can say PayPal is by far the most popular payment method on the internet with over 155 mil. accounts and used by over 100,000 online merchants.

Anywhere, we have heard a lot about the negative sides of PayPal too. Cases like frozen accounts, fraud stories, lawsuits, and everything that is wrong with PayPal.

They act as a bank, but are under no regulation and can do what they like with our money, it’s pretty awful really. Talk about a lack of choice though, everyone uses PayPal and I have to use what my customers want me to use.

Fortunately, there are a lot of alternative payment processor to PayPal you can find online.

We use paypal on most of our sites to accept payments and it's often more of a blessing than a curse. Hopefully we'll see Google Checkout gain some ground on them in the next couple of years.

I have never had a problem using paypal. I think it is a great service that knows what they are doing.
