HoMedics QRM-400 or Brookstone's Back Masseuse - 12-11-2006

Has anyone used one of these back massagers:

Amazon.com: HoMedics QRM-400 Quad Roller Massaging Cushion with Traveling Shiatsu Massage: Health & Personal Care - $130

or

Brookstone: Programmable Personal Back Masseuse - for $250

I tried Brookstone's in their store and liked it, it feels like one of those massage chairs that cost about $7000

But for chirstmast I asked for the Homedics one since it's cheaper, and it's won an award.

But, I really don't know which of the 2 is more effective.

I sit behind the 'puter all day and have lower back pain and I need one of these and I need them to work.

The reviews on Homedics look good in Amazon, so I'm guessing I made the right choice, if not I hope Amazon has a good return policy.

I recommend the HoMedics. Regardless of the product quality, Brookstone is going to be overpriced by 10-15% simply because of the name.

I've owned a couple of HoMedics massagers in the past and found them to be very nice for the price. The only downside to the HoMedics I saw was that you have to unplug it to not use it (has lights or something). Some people also recommend the 300 model over the 400 for people with small frames.

Thanks.

I do need the stronger back massage so I'll stick with QRM-400.

Re: HoMedics QRM-400 or Brookstone's Back Masseuse - 12-13-2006

The QRM-400 arrived yesterday.

Amazon was quite fast in shipping it, free shipping too!

I like it, it's has many features. The shiatsu massage is awesome.

The rolling massage is not very effective.

I wish the length of the massage was a bit taller, since i'm quite tall.

Overall I liked the Human Touch Massage Chair I think I tried it at Sharper Image, but that one was for about $7000 at the time.

For now the seat topper will suffice.
