I and thousands of others still get spam from cpaempire, but on this forum they will be promoted as a trusted merchant? I have not been able to figure this place out yet, is that the kind of merchants and networks you will be actively promoting?

Impartiality - 11-25-2004

Doing business on the internet is one of the most volatile tasks that every merchant must face. For every person that loves Hotmail, there is equally one that hates it, and for his own reasons. Moreover, we all have our own opinions about Hotmail.

Please reference a similar search for '+"bestbuy.com" +spam' on google here. The reality is that you can't please everyone at all times, and there are, at times, affiliates who don't honor your terms and conditions. Who is at fault when spam happens? An affiliate? The affiliate manager? Is BestBuy a spamming company because I happened to have gotten a spam message from them?

Please do not take our administrative postings as an endorsement of one company over another.... or an endorsement, period, for that matter. We post information here for you to absorb, soak in, and develop your own "educated" opinion.

It is our goal here to remain as impartial as possible and share the news and updates of affiliate companies. If you feel that a company is doing something that you don't agree with, please feel free to exercise your rights to post such comments.

I have never seen a bigger whitewashing of cpaempire's practices anywhere. I think that shows what side your bread is buttered on. Here is another company i imagine you will be posting a glowing sales pitch about, http://www.overpro.com/.

Let me write your justification for you.

Doing business on the internet is one of the most volatile tasks that every merchant must face. For every person that loves Hotmail, there is equally one that hates it. Moreover, even the most popular of companies can be accused of screwing up people's browsers. Please reference a similar search for '+"bestbuy.com" +spyware' on google here. The reality is that you can't please everyone at all times, and there are, at times, affiliates who don't honor your terms and conditions.

So
#1, you are for stealing content from other sites until they catch you.
#2, you are for companies spamming etc, because hey, that is the way it goes and you can't please everyone.

Okay.

I would hardly consider a posting of an email we receive "word for word" to be white-washing. Per my visible inspection, Marifer has posted an email she received from Missy @ CPAEmpire. I do not see any endorsements whatsoever by RevenueSource for CPAEmpire.

What more can I say other than:
1) If you don't like CPA Empire, then don't promote them.
2) We DO have the permission of companies to post their news here.
3) If you don't like this board, then why are you here?

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Eddiea:
My mission is to build the biggest catalog of affiliate deals out there and share them with everybody. I am not endorsing any company nor is RevenueSource. We are simply putting it out there for other members to review.

Having said that, I think you are not been productive here. You should post reasons why you think CPA empire is a bad company to deal with. The goal of this community is to share information in a productive way not blast people.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Eddiea,

Apparently, you've arrived with a chip on your shoulder. All I can say is, welcome. You'll see that your replies stand and you are not being moderated or banned. Your opinion will be seen by all who choose to read this thread.

Frankly, you seem to be attacking our posters blindly, and without merit. Your first post was justifiable to other affiliates as a potential warning about doing business with CPA Empire, and I'm sure some people will thank you for that. Your second post is simple assault with no justification.

Now let me demonstrate how our community works here. I don't like the tone of your posts, so I'm going to use my reputation to lower yours. If someone else who has a good reputation here decides they actually like your posts, they can raise it back up for you. Democracy in action.

If you decide you want to add something more useful here, heck, I might even rescind my downgrade.

Have a good one.

No, you are right. There is no reason to be here.

A mod posting an offer has an inherent endorsement. And my whitewashing refered to your justification that it was okay to post the cpaempire offer, because all companies spam, notice how it was in reply to bestbuy post and not the original post? If that is the justification than all bho's are valid, all click stealing is valid, as long as enough people are doing these actions they are valid.

That is a poor ethical choice for an affiliate marketing site to make. The right choice is a hard choice you choose not to make because you want to promote the underbelly without having to own up to your own actions.

Okay... let's for an instance assume we are endorsing CPA Empire (which we're not). CPA Empire pays us no money... none... zero... notta. We do not make any money whatsoever by posting this, receive traffic, or anything you would consider as benefiting. So what exactly is your conspiracy theory here?

I didn't post anything in response to your accusations because that would be heading in the direction of NOT being impartial. I will not be responding to this thread further as I have more constructive tasks at hand.

Because you are friends, all the usual suspects are here for this kind of behavoir. Your actions and fans are more transparent than you may think.

The real question is, why would you post it? Do you really practice no editoral control? If 180 solutions or overpro sent you an email promoting their programs, would you post it? Great tips on hijacking other affiliate's work? Would you really post that kind of content just because someone sent you an email?
