The American Congress approves Internet gambling ban bill - 10-05-2006

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Most forms of Internet gambling would be banned under a bill that received final U.S. congressional approval early Saturday… The bill, a compromise between earlier versions passed by the two chambers, would make it illegal for banks and credit card companies to make payments to online gambling sites…”

This is the perfect time to promote skill games; it speaks to the same target audience who are looking for new ways to play on-line for money.

Don’t miss this perfect opportunity!

Are skill based *paid* sites considered gambling? - 11-01-2006

WorldWinner is a skill based paid gaming site, where members play against each other for cash.

At one time I was interested in promoting WorldWinner but I was doubting whether it's considered a gambling site.

I was a bit confused becase somewhere in their FAQs they say the games are skill based and not considered as gambling.

But, their site was listed under the gambling section in dmoz.org.

I don't know if the internet gambling ban bill applies to them.

Right now I'm working to promote a different niche, but this question on WorldWinner will definitely be on the back burner.

Games of skill are not considered illegal by the United States government. But what exactly is a skill game vs. a gambling game? *shrugs*
