Andyz,
If I were you, I would avoid using cloaking services to promote affiliate links.
This is for your own good. Why? because many people's accounts have been banned by affiliate networks.
Simply cloaking the URL doesn't really hide anything, since there are many simple and obvious ways for the affiliate network and the merchant to find out who the
affiliate is even if the URL is cloaked.
An example of a cloaked URL is also here on this post:
Google Groups: Crawling, indexing, and ranking
When I was a newbie in aff marketing, I once (just once) submitted a link to my deals website, which was all about Trillian - and members on the forum started screaming at my post "This is SPAM!"
That was it for me, I didn't realize that my post was a spam, just because it talked about Trillian and it's features.
But I felt very bad, because I personally was very tired of the Junk mail I get in my e-mail. I get about 2000 spam mail *every day* and about 100 of them don't get filtered every day.
Took me a while to realize what spam really is and what makes people not like them and hate spam so much.
After that I began thinking of different and ethical ways of marketing and there are many ways to do it.
By hanging around the forum you'll learn a lot.
In the end , you won't have the stress that comes with affiliate marketing but will have peace of mind that you've done something good and people like it and as a result you also get paid for it.
It takes time to learn though, it took me over 6 months to realize this.
