Heart Howdy! - 12-14-2006

My name is Eileen aka CyberCelt. I came to RevenueSource by way of PayPerPost. I decided to join the forum so that I could write a good post about it.

I am a professional writer, technical trainer, webmaster and blogger. My husband and I like to travel in our travel trailer and hope to go full time when my son moves out (please, Jesus) next year.

Thanks for Reading!

Hi There,

Welcome to the forum.

How does PayPerPost work?

Do they pay instantaneously for a post or... ?

Hoping to see more posts from you.

Thanks for the welcome. PayPerPost presents opportunities for bloggers to write a post to review a product, website, blog or forum. You may pick and choose for a good match for something you might blog about normally. I have three blogs, so the flow of the blog is not disrupted by paid posts.

The price per post ranges from $4 to $20. Some advertisers want a link with 50 words, some want a 300 word review with links and pictures. You post is approved or denied within about 24 hours and you are paid 30 days from the date of the post.

PPP also has an affiliate program and pays $15 per referral.

Thanks for the info.

Do they allow content mixed with affiliate ads?

I want to give your credit for explaining PPP to me.

They want me to mention your e-mail in the referer field.

You can PM me your PPP e-mail if you want.

I have not been able to sneak in an affiliate link. When you submit a post, the system goes out and makes sure the link(s) they assigned are included in the post. When I included others, the system rejected the posts. What you could do is quote your PPP post in a new blog post and say something like "here is my affiliate link if you wish to sign up."

Something else I should say. Some big names ad agencies are representing themselves as bloggers and hyping their client accounts. They get caught, but it has given the entire paid post thing a bad name. For this and other reasons, I have posted blogging ethics and a full disclosure policy for my blogs. I also use PayPerPost as a technorati tag on each paid post so no one can say I am not disclosing. You may want to do this as well.

Thanks for the interest! My email is writer at cooladz dot com
But would you try clicking this link:

http://tinyurl.com/yc4znu

let me know if it still asks for email address. They supposedly fixed it so that I am given credit automatically. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the additional info. I was asking about other merchants affiliate links.
Anyway, it's fine I'll check them out and see what they allow and what they don't

Almost every company I've come accross has a good and bad reputations. Sometimes It's the people who give them bad reputation. And, sometimes it's the company's fault.

I want to read the ethics and full disclosure policy and some examples, if you can point me to them.

Are we really supposed to disclose like that? It's on the news that FTC wants to regulate affiliate links, but I suppose that's not mandatory yet.

I tried the above URL it didn't work. First it took me to payperpost.com , then I clicked on "Get Started", and then I selected account type "Blogger", and then the "Referred By:" field was blank.

It probably works if you specify the direct URL rather than URL redirection via TinyURL or other services.

Anyway, I will enter the above e-mail address in the referer field.

Thanks.
