I don't know about you all, but I stuff my own affiliate checks, and include a personalized note with each.

Often, I'll also include something else, like my business card, a little calendar or whatever.

So I got to thinking - how about making a monthly exchange with non-competitive affiliate managers, where we would each stuff business card sized ads for one another's programs in with the affiliate commission checks.

It's a very cheap and easy opportunity for recruiting new affiliates - just go to VistaPrint and you can get 250 free, color business cards.

You just have to pay $5 in shipping (the cards have a discreet note on the back about business cards being free at VistaPrint).

I'm interested in working with somebody on future exchanges for ClubMom and other programs I manage.

Anybody interested?

I am a big fine of the personalized checks and notes. If I send someone $1000 a month in commissions, least they could do is hand sign my checks. :grinning:

Affiliate check inserts are a good marketing strategy as they are more "captive audience" than other forms: magazines, banner ads, link trades, etc.

I don't personally have an opportunities to offer you at the moment, but I will keep a note here to be on the lookout. I will also bring it up with many of the people I meet next week in Vegas.

The only problem is that I use Shareasale for tracking and affiliate payments. Maybe Brian from Shareasale can jump into this thread....

Christmas is my reminder,

I obtain all affiliate addresses and send out an Xmas card and a zipper or other type-advertising gift, basically something I can stuff into an envelope.
