I was talking to a friend today about Google Adsense, and it got me thinking that his success did not really take off until I managed to get him to diversify his portfolio with more affiliate programs then just a pure diet of Adsense. That got me thinking, what is other people’s portfolios (revenue making) look like?
For me at this minute, I come in around 20% Adsense, 32% in-house (scripts, self sold ads, etc), and 47% other affiliates (PPA).
My friend’s portfolio (estimating from what he told me) is doing 17% Adsense, 23% in-house, and 59% other affiliates. If my memory serves me right, he has grown over 800% in the time he has switched from a pure Adsense portfolio to a high mixed version with plenty of PPA based affiliate programs that he is using to target keywords for higher conversions.
