bite me“. I of course responded,
“I’d love to”.
So here it is…
I’m not anti-
SEO, per se. I believe that
SEO has it’s place. But the simple fact is that many webmasters look to
SEO as their sole business model. Traffic, targeted or not, is not a business model. The biggest impediment to sales is lack of credibility. The most powerful sales tool you can posses is not SE rankings - it’s
brand.
Unfortunately, most web professionals (I use the term lightly) look to SE rankings when sales are lagging. It’s the biggest problem in the e-business community right now, in my opinion. Branding first, then
SEO as needed.
And a lot of
SEO just devalues the web and the websites that it targets.
That’s all I want to say on the topic now, because I’ve written about it several times before.
