Many webmasters dream of having one or more edu links from a well respected college or university, but the people who actually do get them are far and phew between.
For those of us who do not have the luxury of getting the coveted edu link, Im going to give you the quick and easy way of getting edu links without having to kiss a lot of ass or write an insanely respectable education site.
At any college or university all students have the option to have a personal webpage as well as the professors of the education facility. With that there are only a couple ways you can go about getting a link on one of them pages.
One of the quick ways to get a link is to attend the university. As you will be a student you will have the option to setup your very own personal webpage and do what you want with that page. Great example would be to write a profile about yourself and plug links out to your other websites or write articles on topics and then provide links out to your websites in them articles.
As I’m long out of college the above method does not excite me to much!
If you are like me and more schooling does not sound like something you want to do just for your very own personal edu link farm, some of the following methods can really get you going if you are not part of the student body.
Pay, bride or request a link; if you can not attending the education facility you could always ask students for a link exchange. It may sound unpromising, however back in the day when link trades where in style I would hunt down local business on Google with small websites with plenty of quality links and ask for link trades as they did not know what PageRank is, and as long as the website looked nice they would link to it.
If after asking a couple hundred students from one college to trade links with you does not pan our you could always go back and offer the student 25 dollars for a permanent link with the text of your choice.
As most students are not into SEO and are always in the need of money it would be relativity easy to get them to give you a link or pay them to give you a link.
Your last and probably best option is to ask family and friends if they are or know of anyone who is attending a college or university or teaching at one, then use the old friendship network to get them to held a friend or friend’s friend out by giving them a link.
