For reasons that aren't entirely clear, we've been having difficulty with Internet Explorer rendering our front page in a timely fashion. Vistors see a background, then a nav bar, then the rest of the page a couple of seconds later.

We've been doing quite a few edits to the front of the site, including the shuffling of table cells, reslicing of graphics/page, etc. We seem to be heading in the right direction as I am noticing considerable improvements. I will post an update when I know more.
